B Complex

What is B Complex?

B Complex is a grouping of the various B vitamins which are needed by the human body. These are B1, B2, B3 (Niacin), Pantothenic Acid, B6, PABA, Methionine, Choline, Inositol, Folic Acid, Biotin, and B12. For further information, see the sections on each individual B vitamin.

Several mechanisms are likely to be involved in the induction of vascular damage by homocysteine, including endothelial cell desquamation, oxidation of low-density lipoprotein, increased monocyte adhesion to the vessel wall, and impaired vascular response to the endothelium-dependent relaxing factor nitric oxide.

A recent study showed that an acute increase in plasma homocysteine level is associated with activation of coagulation, and also impairs hemodynamic and rheologic responses to L-arginine, the natural precursor of nitric oxide. This substance is responsible for keeping blood vessels open, and it appears that homocysteine interferes with its ability to do so.

Natural sources for B Complex:

Brewer's Yeast, Rice Bran.

B Complex is useful in treating:
